The past few days have been pretty brutal. I have been feeling lots and lots of pain, accompanied with terrible side effects from the IV's. The result is not good. The pain comes and goes, so do the pain killers. May be that's why the pain comes and goes. I have never needed to medicate this much, but it's to the point that I can't function at all. I have not left the house in days, and every attempt to results in a rush home since the pain returns or I am really short of breath. Either way I'm waiting for it to pass. It always does to some extent.
Beth has been tired, and has had pain. She feels that the cramps she's experiencing are earlier than when she was carrying her kids, and this worries me. Will she be able to hold out (or will Scarlett be patient) for another week and a bit. The 21st is very close, but not if you have had enough with being pregnant!! Needless to say Beth is being great. She's doing such a great job, and will soon get relief! But I do really want things to work out for the 21st. Especially with my not doing all that well right now. I hope that is just a result of the new meds, and things will settle down. I just need a few more days for that to happen.
So, 10 days. It's hard to believe. All of a sudden she can be here any minute. Hard to believe we got here.
I'm just going to try to rest, and hope things go to plan. But if they don't that's ok, we'll figure it out. I just want to be well enough to enjoy it.

Oh Nat - I am sorry to hear that you have been struggling. That really bites big time. Try not to let your Mom nerves reek havoc on your healing. You and the team that you assembled are going to do GREAT! Sending you and Beth lots of love. Little Scarlett may come in her own time. But it will all work out as it's meant to be. Hugs. Hugs. Hugs lady.
You inspire me, thanks for the uplifting comment on my blog. I'm sorry to hear you aren't feeling well and each day I'm going to send good thoughts that you get enough of the strength you need to fully enjoy what you and Martin and Beth have been working so hard for. Hopefully when you have little Scarlett in your arms, her baby healing powers will push you through until your new lungs arrive. Lots of love!
I wont comment on your pain because you KNOW how we feel when you suffer and no words can take that pain away.
Here is a thought - IF Beth and Scarlett cant wait... have her on the 17th. Then she and Tayleigh have the same birthday only 1 year apart :-)
Wouldnt THAT be something!!! With Addie and Brielle we need a 4th musketeer anyway!!!!
Can you say "Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants - the Canadian Version"?? hehehehehe
Dear sweet Nat, your getting so close, oh my oh my, your here! Any day, I can't believe how far you've come and it's been a real treat to share in your journey to motherhood!
Get lots of rest and get well, baby will be in your arms sooner than you think...time flies so fast!
Great job Beth, your doing so wonderful, the last month is always the hardest and your almost there!
Here's hoping you all have the dream birth, that that day is magical and wonderful for all involved. :)
Thinking of you all.........tick tock.
I hope you are feeling better tomorrow, and better the day after that, and so on. With love out there toward you and baby and your surrogate and husband too!!! - CG
