CBC Coverage

CBC will be airing a third installment on Natalia and her family tomorrow night (Friday) on their primetime show "Connect with Mark Kelley" during their 7:00-8:00pm and 8:00-9:00pm (Eastern Standard Time) cycles, covering aspects of the current stage of Natalia's journey.

The goal of the coverage was and still is to tell Natalia's compelling story to bring a human face to the national issue of Canada's terribly low organ donor rates with the hope that it would motivate viewers and readers to discuss their wishes with their loved ones, sign their donor cards, register their wishes with their provincial organ donation agency and/or even better, make their wishes known in a living will (links to further info will be provided in an upcoming post to help you do exactly that).

Best case scenerio, this coverage will help bring a direct donor for Natalia, help in it's own way to alleviate our national organ donor shortage, and hopefully help save and enhance the lives of other Canadians.

Worse case scenerio, the latter two still apply.

So tune in if you can.

If unable to see it tomorrow, we'll be posting a link to it once it's up online.

The CBC coverage is incredible touching. May we all join the fight to improve organ donation in Canada. In such a rich, educated country no one should have to get this sick or wait this long for something they so desperately need.

Prayers and love for Nat and her family.

I have just caught up on the CBC coverage and it is incredible. I can't wait for tomorrow night. I think what all of you are doing is just motivational and inspirational and incredible. To open up your lives and home to us is really something. I have been extremely touched by your story and I'm not lettting go any time soon. I hope the coverage does raise the awareness for organ donation and more people will sign their organ donation card. Nobody should have to get as sick or desperate as Natalia is. Lots of love and prayers to all of you especially Natalia.

I have just heard someone say: "I want to be around to pick up some pieces when somebody breaks your heart".
Natalia, your suffering and struggling is breaking many hearts. So you have to be around for long, long, long time to pick up some pieces.
Your stamina, bravery and courage is amazing and you are blessed to have such an incredible set of family and friends around you.
Keep fighting. We all hope to see you soon walking in the park and breathing freely.
You, Scarlet, Martin, Hanka, Krzysiek and Jasiek are constantly in our thoughts and prayers.

Barbara

P.S. I signed my organ donation card years ego. I personally know a lady who had a heart and a double lung transplant and she is doing just fine. Lets hope the awareness for organ donation will spread and save lives.
