12 week ultrasound!!

Take a look at baby Ritchie now, at 12 weeks!!

You can see the little face, and feet and fingers....it's quite the picture is it not?! The more I look at it the more I see!! I love it.

Today was our first prenatal appointment. It was at the clinic close to Beth, so I hopped in the car early this morning and spent the day in it - it's a long way. But it was SO worth it!! Seeing Beth was great, as always. She looks amazing, and is feeling well since all the injections stopped!! Thank god for that. From what everyone can tell the baby is doing well, and as you can see in the picture, looking more and more like a little person every day.

I made sure that Beth went home with a doppler, so that she can now try to hear the heart beat, and hopefully call me one day when she finally finds it. (hint hint Beth...call me..no matter what!! haha) The RN tried to find it but said it was still early and that it's hard to find it sometimes so early on in the pregnancy. Being in the business of doppler rental (http://www.babytones.ca/), I understand that perfectly, and was not about to have a panic attack if we didn't hear it. Though I certainly understand better now why women rent them for the full term of their pregnancy!

So there we have it, a great day. Everything seems to be going to plan. That picture will get me through the next month or so until the next ultrasound.

Peanut, I had a long talk with your grandpa today, and I can tell that he is so excited to meet you!! Wait 'till you meet him!! He's great.

Awesome u/s pic! It always amazes me how much detail you can see at ultrasounds, and it is so reassuring to see that much has changed from the last peek. We still weren't able to hear our baby's hb on the Doppler at our 17w appointment. Thankfully the u/s was fine, but not hearing it with the Doppler can be frightening!

I found I had to go really really low in the pelvis to hear Babygirl and there was some easy listens and some more difficult ones when she was moving all over the place.

Glad to hear your prenatal went well...what was the doctor like, is he/she familiar with surrogacy? I knew I missed a post, so ignore my question on the newer post.

P.S. That u/s pic is great!
